BIO:
Keith Pelletier is a remote sensing scientist in the GEMS Informatics Center at the University of Minnesota. His research employs automated feature extraction approaches and high-resolution datasets for mapping and monitoring changes in land cover, wetlands, forests, and impervious surfaces. As a teaching specialist, Keith teaches introductory and advanced courses in geospatial applications and technology. Prior to joining GEMS, he worked in the Spatial Analysis Lab at the University of Vermont and Remote Sensing and Geospatial Analysis Lab at the University of Minnesota where he collaborated on numerous tree canopy assessments and wetland mapping projects.
